Yutong Saw its Exports Double in Q1

29 May 2014

www.chinabuses.org: On May 17th, Henan Provincial Department of Commerce released a report, which shows the detailed export information in the first quarter of the bus maker Yutong, based in the provincial capital, Zhengzhou. From Jan. to Mar., it exported 1,777 buses, up by 50.2% year on year, realizing an export value of 171,946,000 USD, up by 66.7% against that in the previous year. It is also indicated that 877 buses were exported to Venezuela, 116 to Sudan, 100 to Philippines, 100 to Nigeria, 73 to Israel, 53 to Myanmar, and 458 to the rest markets.

According a relevant official from the department, the jump of Yutong's exports in the first quarter of 2014 can be chiefly attributed to after-effect of the big export order placed in 2013. The remaining 877 units out of 2,000 buses ordered by Venezuela in 2013 were finally delivered in the first quarter of 2014. Besides, Yutong has expanded its overseas markets from 38 countries and regions in 2013 to 48 this year. Its traditional markets such as Venezuela, Sudan, Philippines, Nigeria, Israel, and Myanmar all have been maintaining a fast growing momentum.
