JAC Produces MaxxForce Engines with Competitive Price
22 August 2012
www.chinabuses.org:On August 16th, JAC & Navistar Specialist Technical Symposium was held in Beijing, where the joint venture was unveiled and technical route of to-be-produced MaxxForce engines were introduced.
There's a joke in the symposium saying "JAC is the abbreviation of the company, and the features of its engines. J stands for Japanese Technology, A standards for American Standard and C stands for Chinese Price."
At the beginning, Navistar North American Powertrain Technology Academician & Chinese Chief Technology Director Leining gave a detailed introduction of American emission standard and MaxxForce engines.
Vice President of Navistar Chinese Products & Technology R&D Yan, Jingde said the emission of MaxxForce engines exceeded Euro V standard with advanced EGR technology, even close to Euro VI standard.
Navistar cooperated with JAC to produce 3.2L, 4.8L and 7.2L MaxxForce engines in Brazil with Euro V certificate. At the same time, Navistar planned to adopt ICT+ emission standard for export in the future.
The competitiveness of JAC products is reflected in quality and cost. Compared with the similar products, JAC products won't be too expensive.
