12 August 2025

On August 7, 2025, the World Games 2025 Chengdu grandly opened, capturing the attention of the world. This is the first time that Mainland China has hosted the World Games, which brought together over 110 countries and regions and nearly 4,000 athletes. The Games featured 34 major events and 60 sub-events, making it the largest-scale World Games in history. Faced with the high-frequency and high-intensity commuting demands, Xiamen Golden Dragon, a key player in China's bus manufacturing industry, actively participated in the event support work. A fleet of 130 Golden Dragon buses took on the crucial task of shuttling participants, providing safe, efficient, and comfortable transportation services and showcasing China's high-standard bus manufacturing capabilities to the world.

Golden Dragon has a deep technical foundation and rich experience in serving major events. From the 2008 Beijing Olympics, where over 2,000 Golden Dragon buses provided support, to the continuous service of the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference for 28 years, and the successful completion of the 70th-anniversary celebration of the founding of New China and the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Golden Dragon has always maintained a "zero-failure" record, setting an industry benchmark.

The main model used for the Chengdu World Games, the Golden Dragon Kaige, integrates advanced technology and humanized design. In terms of power performance, the Kaige is equipped with mainstream high-horsepower engines from Yuchai and Weichai, combined with low-ratio rear axles. After precise tuning, matching, and optimization, the bus delivers strong power and better fuel economy, easily handling various road conditions to ensure efficient commuting during the Games. In terms of safety, the bus features a closed-loop full-load-bearing body structure, with key parts made of Baosteel 700Mpa high-strength steel. It also comes with advanced safety configurations such as imported ABS+ESC, AEBS emergency braking system, and lane departure warning, providing comprehensive safety protection for passengers.

The interior design prioritizes passenger comfort. It features an advanced full-vehicle fresh air system to keep the air inside the bus fresh; ergonomic passenger seats; and extensive use of NVH noise reduction design with vibration-damping, environmentally friendly soundproofing materials to create a quiet riding environment. Additionally, the humanized cockpit is equipped with an all-around adjustable air suspension driver's seat, a dedicated storage space for the driver, an independent cockpit air conditioning system, and an audio-visual system, enhancing the driver's operational comfort and indirectly ensuring driving safety.

A relevant person in charge from Golden Dragon said that to ensure flawless service, the company has formed an elite support team and developed a comprehensive service plan in advance. From multiple rounds of rigorous inspection before vehicle delivery to 24-hour on-site duty and dynamic monitoring during the Games, every link is meticulously managed. Moreover, a dedicated spare parts warehouse has been established in Chengdu, with a sufficient stock of core components, to ensure timely response to vehicle maintenance needs.

The 130 Golden Dragon buses are now shuttling through the streets and alleys of Chengdu, safeguarding the smooth running of the World Games with their excellent product quality and professional service capabilities. From the Beijing Olympics to the Chengdu World Games, Golden Dragon has proven with its consistent professionalism over the years that high-standard bus services from China have become an "invisible gold medal" for international events.
