New Growth Possibly Appears in the Bus Market in the last half of 2011

www.chinabuses.org: In China, the emission standard of the heavy duty commercial vehicles will transfer from National III to IV by the beginning of 2012.
As for the influence of new policy on the bus market, the bus practitioners show their opinions in the interview. According to Wang Wenbing, the deputy general manager of Yutong Bus, the general sales of the bus market is predicted to be not so positive, however, big growth will be reached due to the forthcoming of emission of National IV.
Wu Shanxiang, from Market Dept. of JAC Coach revealed that, “In the first quarter of this year, the sales of China buses turn on small growth and it is estimated that the increasing will be continued in city buses, highway buses and tourist coaches. The policy stimulation affects a lot on the market in the last of this year when is the transitional period from National III to IV.”
Based on the publicly revealed news, new buses will be applied in many cities in this year such as 1250 new energy city buses (National V) in Beijing; 500 city buses (National IV) in Nanjing; 800 units in Wuhan, 1000 new energy vehicles for the public transport in Changsha within three years, 2500 new energy city buses in Shantou within three years, over 3000 environment-friendly city buses in Jiangsu and 4000 new energy city buses in Shenzhen by 2012.
One expert showed that “In some large cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong and Nanjing, the emission standard of National IV has been implemented. With the enforcement of National IV, the demand on the city buses in accordance with the new standard will be increasing.”
