IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026 to Feature Over 150 World Premieres New Products

03 September 2026

Hanover/Berlin, 2 September 2026‑ IAA TRANSPORTATION 2026 will open its doors from 15 to 20 September, with the Press Day scheduled for 14 September. More than 70 % of exhibitors come from outside Germany, and roughly one‑third are first‑time participants. In total, exhibitors will unveil over 150 world premieres and new products. The show theme is *“We Deliver”*.
Organised by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), the event remains the world’s leading platform for road‑freight‑transport innovation. Suppliers constitute the backbone of the exhibition with 766 exhibitors, while body manufacturers rank as the second‑largest exhibitor group. Autonomous and automated driving stands out as one key focus area.

The IAA Test Drives programme reaches a new high: 84 vehicles from 17 exhibitors will be available for test drives both on‑site and on public roads, 40 % more compared with the 2024 edition.

Over 200 speakers will take part in the IAA Conference across three stages. A total of 112 press conferences will be held on Press Day, together with prestigious industry awards including International Truck of the Year, Van of the Year and Trailer of the Year. Around 580 accredited journalists from across the globe are expected to attend.

VDA President Hildegard Müller highlighted that the logistics sector is the cornerstone of Europe’s economy. European OEMs have already developed battery‑electric trucks and hydrogen‑powered trucks for zero‑emission transport. However, critical charging and hydrogen‑refuelling infrastructure across Europe is far behind requirements. She called for policymakers in Berlin and Brussels to deliver adequate infrastructure, stable power supply and realistic CO₂‑fleet‑regulatory frameworks for industry transformation.

VDA Managing Director Jürgen Mindel noted that IAA TRANSPORTATION brings together established market leaders, innovative enterprises and new players to foster global cooperation and business opportunities. The Drivers’ and Family Weekend will run on 19‑20 September to honour front‑line logistics workers.
