On July 26, 2024, BYD's pure electric buses made their appearance in Paris. Moreover, during the recently concluded UEFA European Championship, BYD new energy vehicles served as official transportation, providing green travel services for the event. This marked the first time the European Championship collaborated with a new energy vehicle brand and, notably, a Chinese automobile brand.

Today, BYD commercial vehicles have left their footprint across Europe, contributing to the global clean energy cause and showcasing the charm of "Made in China with Intelligence".

The K9 model boasts a comprehensive range exceeding 400 kilometers, and its body design is ingeniously crafted, highlighting the unique charm of the BYD brand.

It is worth mentioning that these electric buses have passed the rigorous certification of the French Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Every detail, from the footboards, handrails, to the seats, is thoughtfully designed with humanization in mind. In terms of comfort, leveraging air suspension technology and body tilt control, the K9 minimizes body vibration and noise, creating a serene and pleasant riding space for passengers. Athletes from around the world have expressed their admiration for its quiet and comfortable riding experience.

In terms of safety performance, the vehicle adopts large-capacity, high-safety iron-phosphate batteries. During the research and development process, these batteries underwent extreme testing such as burning, short-circuiting, and high-temperature exposure to ensure their good safety and stability. Furthermore, the bus is equipped with BYD's newly upgraded power battery thermal management system, which effectively prolongs battery life while providing passengers with a safer and more reliable travel experience. In terms of power system, the K9 employs a low-floor wheel-edge drive axle integrating wheel-edge drive and regenerative braking technologies, enabling efficient driving.

During the recently concluded 2024 UEFA European Championship in July, BYD served as the official transportation provider, offering green travel services for the event. At the same time, BYD showcased several passenger vehicle models, including the Seal and Dolphin, at the competition stadiums and official fan zones, allowing European consumers to fully experience the technological charm of new energy vehicles and the infinite possibilities of future transportation. Having undergone the baptism of major sports events, BYD commercial vehicles have frequently become the service vehicles for top-tier sports events, already garnering numerous honors. Its exceptional product quality and professional service capabilities are precisely the golden signs that make BYD shine in world-class events.

For Chinese automakers expanding overseas, Europe is not only a valuable market but also a symbol of brand significance. It is the birthplace of the world's industrial revolution and a significant hub in the global automotive industry. Establishing a foothold in the European market represents both an opportunity and a challenge for Chinese bus enterprises.

In recent years, to achieve carbon emission targets and promote sustainable development, Europe has been vigorously promoting the development of a green economy and advancing the construction of a green public transportation system, providing development space and market opportunities for Chinese new energy vehicles. The consecutive appearances of BYD buses at the world's most prestigious sports events undoubtedly demonstrate the continuous recognition and trust of European users in the quality of Chinese buses and will also promote deeper exchanges and closer cooperation between China and Europe in the field of new energy transportation.

Currently, the footprint of BYD new energy vehicles covers six continents, spanning over 400 cities in more than 70 countries and regions. Leveraging its leading advantages in technology, safety, quality, and market presence, BYD new energy vehicles achieved annual sales exceeding 3 million units in 2023, retaining its position as the global sales champion in the new energy vehicle market. Among them, BYD exported over 240,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 337%, making it the Chinese brand with the highest number of new energy vehicle exports in 2023.

In the field of pure electric buses, BYD's market share in Europe has steadily increased. As of now, its electric buses have traversed more than 20 European countries, including Amsterdam in the Netherlands, London in the UK, Brussels in Belgium, Turin in Italy, and Oslo in Norway, covering over 100 cities and establishing more than 230 stores. Based on European demands, regulations, touch, and quality, BYD collaborates with high-quality European suppliers to develop and manufacture customized, localized products for the European market. By now, the vehicles produced by BYD's European factories have achieved a considerably high level of local integration, truly embodying the concept of "Chinese Technology, European Quality".

After more than two decades of development, BYD Europe now possesses the capability to provide a full range of new energy products for the local market, with its core products covering electric buses, forklifts, taxis, and cloud rails.
