BYD Blade-Battery Bus B12A03 Makes Debut at LTA-UITP SITCE
Recently, the fourth Singapore International Transport Congress & Exhibition (SITCE), jointly organized by Union International des Transports Public (UITP), Land Transport Authority (LTA) and MSI Global Pie Ltd., was successfully held. Themed with Heartbeat of Mobility, this year’s event aims to improve the sustainable commuting services in the urban areas across the globe.
During the three-day event, BYD’s first blade-battery bus B12A03 officially made its debut on the world market. Measuring 12-meter in length, the bus has a low-floor access and three exits. Adopting the fourth generation aluminum body structure, it is also BYD’s first electric bus equipped with B-package blade batteries.
BYD also brought its Q1R truck-tractor on display at SITCE. By improving the layout of its batteries, the vehicle is able to drive longer distances continuously and boasts a higher loading capacity.
As early as 2010, BYD officially launched its Power City Buses by Electricity program. Thanks to its relentless efforts in technological innovations, BYD commercial vehicles powered by electricity have made their way to 400+ cities in over 70 countries across the globe. Currently, the company boasts a wide spectrum of new energy commercial vehicles tailored for urban public transport, passenger transportation, urban logistic services, urban sanitation services, and other transportation services at airports, mines and ports.
According to BYD, both its products aroused keen interest among participants at SITCE, attracting over 3,000 visitors. It also received inquiries of purchasing 400 units B12A03 electric city buses from LTA and 50 units Q1R truck-tractors from local customers.
