SAIC Maxus Surpasses 222,000 Global Sales in 2025

04 January 2026

In 2025, SAIC Maxus led the commercial-vehicle market with momentum that lasted all year long. Annual wholesale deliveries reached 222,000 units, up 25 % across the entire line-up and 93 % for new-energy vehicles. Retail sales hit 232,000 units, securing eleven consecutive months of year-on-year growth. December domestic retail neared 13,000 units, soaring 36 % versus the previous year, while overseas retail jumped 23 %. The company scored twin victories on its two core tracks—new-energy transformation and global expansion. Monthly NEV penetration topped 50 %, putting SAIC Maxus at the front of traditional light-commercial-vehicle makers switching to electric; light-van exports ranked No. 1 in the industry and pickup exports held solid at No. 2 among Chinese brands, pushing the overseas business to a new peak.

Domestic NEV leadership: monthly penetration above 50 %, the most complete commercial-vehicle portfolio.

In 2025 SAIC Maxus sold more than 54,000 new-energy vehicles at home, with monthly penetration breaching 50 %—first among traditional light-commercial-vehicle makers. The “wealth-creating hero” Dana series continued its runaway success, annual sales rocketing 147 % year on year. The星际 X EV, the first mass-produced pure-electric pickup in Europe and Australia, is steering local pickup markets toward electrification. Yuejin electric light-truck sales surged 222 %, accounting for nearly 57 % of the sub-brand’s volume.

Global breakthrough: No. 1 light-van exporter, No. 2 pickup exporter.

Anchored by the “Global Maxus” strategy, the company sold 103,000 vehicles overseas in 2025, up 25 % year on year. Light-van and pickup export volumes rank first and second, respectively, among Chinese brands. Products now reach more than 100 countries and regions, gaining leading market shares in Europe, Australia and ASEAN. Light vans command the biggest VAN-class share in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong, China; pickups sit at the top of the sales charts in emerging markets such as Mexico, Ecuador and Saudi Arabia, competing head-to-head with global giants. Major fleet orders confirm this recognition: in July SAIC Maxus secured the largest-ever European order from DHL and shipped the first batch of eDeliver3 (EV30) vans; in September DHL placed a repeat order for the same model. In Singapore, the eDeliver5 (Dana V1) won a landmark contract from J&T Logistics. To tap new markets and create fresh volume, the Dana V1 and New Journey EV90 ignited enthusiasm in Thailand, where the first flagship store will open in Q1 2026, further strengthening the Southeast-Asia service network. High-quality “going global” is becoming the core engine of growth.
