On January 23, a grand ceremony was held in Xiamen to mark the handover of 66 units King Long luxury mid-coaches to their customer from UAE.

At the ceremony, Mr. McLuskey, CEO of UAE-based AG Automobile Trading Company, reviewed his company’s cooperation with King Long in the past years, saying “King Long has fully demonstrated its competence in operating in various demanding working environment.”

Zhang Bin, General Manager of King Long, pointed out that the two parties will continue to deepen their cooperation and create a win-win situation for both parties.

King Long officially entered UAE in 2008 and sold eight units buses in that year. Ten years later, its annual sales volume jumped to over 200 units. Currently, King Long is the leading bus brand in UAE and the Gulf Region. In UAE alone, the number of King Long buses in smooth operation has exceeded 800 units.

In recently years, King Long has been working closely with the local government in UAE in building a greener and more convenient public transport system. In addition, it successfully secured a major order of school buses from UAE’s largest school bus operator, marking a new milestone in its overseas expansion.

Despite the anemic global economy, King Long has managed to maintained a stable growing momentum in its global expansion. So far, it has established a strong presence in over 60 countries and regions along the Belt & Road. In 2018, the bus maker exported 10,239 units buses to the overseas markets and realized an export revenue of 1.9 billion RMB. In addition, it ranked the first place among all bus brands from China in West Asia in 2017 and 2018.

In 2018, King Long exported over 700 units buses to Saudi Arabia. King Long double-deckers also successfully made their way to Kuwait. In Thailand, it kept its leading position among all bus brands. In Philippines, Costa Rica, Taiwan, Spain, Senegal, Bolivia and Chile, King Long large-sized buses are playing a dominant role in the local bus markets. It also entered Papua New Guinea in 2018 and successfully served 2018 APEC Summit held in the country. In Bolivia and Egypt, King Long light buses are taking the leading position in the local markets.
