Weichai WP4.1 Engine Becomes the New Heart of Golden Dragon Buses

www.chinabuses.org: Recently, Weichai WP4.1 engine successfully becomes the new heart of Golden Dragon buses. Thanks to its much low noise level, satisfactory acceleration performance and smooth operation, the engine has won widespread acclaim from its customers. In particular, Weichai WP4.1 engine has made impressive achievements in NVH, which demonstrates that it has made new breakthroughs in travel comforts and differential advantages besides maintaining its competitiveness in fuel economy and power performance.
The Golden Dragon bus which is equipped with Weichai WP4.1 engine measures 7.5 meters in length. It has six-speed transmission and the engine is mounted at the middle part of the vehicle. Currently, Weichai WP4.1 engine is the only power source of the 7.5-meter Golden Dragon bus. During its trial operation, the impressive NVH of the engine becomes the biggest highlight of the vehicle. While increasing its speed from 60 km/h to 100 km/h on expressway, the bus does not experience noticeable vibrations and it produces little noises. When driving on a uphill road section, the bus still delivers superbly high standard performance. Various other tests of the engine has shown that it outperforms its counterparts with the same level of displacement.
