Hydraulic torque converter, a patent of Allison, can increase torque of engine, improve start performance of the vehicle, and decrease impact of transmission system. Allison transmission can as well be equipped with integrated hydraulic retarder as an option, which can make up the insufficient braking torque of natural gas engine and improve the whole braking performance.
