www.chinabuses.org: Ministry of Environmental Protection released the "Announcement" that from July 1st, 2013 all the produced, imported, sold and registered compression ignition engines must conform with the requirements of Nation IV. 

In the meeting of branch secretary-generals, Vice President and Secretary-General Xing Min said the industry will take the lead in advocating the implementation of Nation IV standard. 

The period of over one-year witnessed the action the engine manufacturers took to enhance their strength. For example, Yuchai invested CNY 1.7 billion to build the world largest diesel engine casting production base, which, covering 1800 Mu, will produce 0.8L-40L high-quality diesel engine cylinders, cylinder covers. Dongfeng Cummins, SFH and Dongfeng Chaochai made their own efforts as well.
