www.chinabuses.org: In an effort to boost a sound and fast development of China’s electric vehicle industry, China Electric Vehicle 100 Summer Forum (2016) was held in Zhengzhou, central China’s Henan province, on August 21. Jointly organized by China EV100 and Henan Provincial Government, the forum this year is themed with “Safety and Innovation Driven Development”. By focusing on how to improve the safety standards and quality standards of electric vehicles, the forum is aiming at further raising public awareness of the environmental benefits brought by electric vehicles and pushing forward the emerging industry to a new historical level. To further upgrade China’s automobile industry, push forward its transition and help it realize an annual production volume of five million units by 2020, Yutong will continue to strengthen its efforts and increase its investments in electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles. Considering the fuel cell vehicles, Tang says China still lags far behind some other countries in the world. Thus, more efforts and investments are needed in this field so as to make new breakthroughs in some key technologies. Tang also says that China’s electric vehicle industry is still at its initial stage of development. Despite all the challenges, the industry is also blessed with many opportunities. “Only by seeking an innovative development road can the industry realize sound development and further upgrading”, says Tang.
