Zhongtong Maintains A Robust Growth in 2016

www.chinabuses.org: According to the latest statistics released on June 13, Zhongtong has been staying in the second place for four consecutive years in its sales. Moreover, it has maintained a year-on-year growth rate of 43%, high above all its counterparts in the industry.
In 2010, Zhongtong’s bus sales ranked No. 6 in China’s bus industry. Since 2011, the bus maker has been making great efforts to diversify its product line, developing a wide spectrum of new energy buses, high-end business vehicles, recreational vehicles, and logistic vehicles. In doing so, the company has greatly strengthened its overall competitiveness. In the same year, its bus sales passed 10,000 units. In 2012, it ranked the fourth place with a sales volume of 12,000 units buses measuring six-meters and above in length. In 2015, Zhongtong climbed to the third place in China’s bus industry with an annual sales of 17,500 units. Starting from February this year, it moved up again to the second place. As of May, it registered a 43% growth rate, gaining itself a more solid position in China’s bus industry.
All in all, in the twelfth five-year period (2011-2015), Zhongtong registered a much-higher-than-the-industrial-average growth rate. The sales volume of its buses measuring 6-meters and above jumped from 9,243 units in 2010 to 17,505 units in 2015. In five years, its sales grew by 89.9%, ranking the first among the top six bus makers.
In 2014, Zhongtong’s new energy bus production base finished construction and started operation. Covering an area of 1,450 mu, it is able to produce 30,000 units new energy buses each year. With state-of-art facilities and equipment, Zhongtong has set up its electric control laboratory, battery laboratory and power laboratory, laying a solid foundation for its continued fast growth.
Seeing the inevitable trend in developing environmentally friendly vehicles, Zhongtong made a quick and successful shift in its business focus and put all energy into R&D of new energy vehicles. Now, its years’ hard working paying off and it is now taking the lead in the promising field. In 2015, the bus maker boasted an annual sales of 10,498 units new energy buses, accounting for 11% of its overall sales. In the first four months this year, the company’s new energy bus sales broke 4,000 units, accounting for over 20% of the domestic market. With such impressive performances, it now ranks the first in China’s new energy industry.
Looking ahead, Zhongtong is full of confidence. It is now set to further diversify its product line and sharpen its core competitiveness, pursuing a more sustainable growth.
