www.chinabuses.org: Recently, Chongqing rolled out China's first eight-wheel light low-floor electric bus, representing a huge step forward for the upgrading and transformation of the vehicle manufacturing industry.
Adopting independent front and rear bridge driving modular, the eco-friendly bus boasts compact structure, light weight, low noise, and high energy efficiency. In addition, with low-floor access, the width of the vehicle interior reaches 1,200 mm, greatly boosting the usable space of the vehicle. As it uses aluminum alloy body structure, it reduces the vehicle body weight by 40%. What's more, since it adopts independent suspension wheel hub motor distributed steering system, the weight of the chassis of the electric bus is reduced by 30% compared with the traditional electric buses using concentrated steering motor system. Thus, the vehicle boasts even higher fuel economy. Moreover, it is capable of having the rotation speed of its four wheels under control while driving and undertaking electronic differential control while making a bend.
