Beijing Electric Bus Promotion Application Action Plan Released

www.chinabuses.org: On June 3rd, Beijing Electric Bus Promotion Application Action Plan (2014-2017) was officially released, which is the detailed implementation of Beijing Air Cleaning Action Plan (2013-2017). According to the plan, all buses running on major bus lines like Chang'an Street routes and 3rd Ring routes will be replaced by electric ones, the same with current and new buses running on railway transit microcirculation line.
By the end of 2014, electric buses starting operation in Beijing should not less than 900 units and by 2017 electric buses operated in Beijing will not less than 4500 units. All buses running on major bus lines like Chang'an Street routes, 3rd Ring routes and the four BRT routes.will be replaced by electric ones.
In public transport section, 3 large charging station will be built and fast charging poles for directly charging electric buses and distance-enhancing buses will be built as the rate of not less than 2:1 and 10:1 respectively. In taxi section, fast charging poles for taxis running in city area will be built as the rate of not less than 3:1 and AC charging poles and fast charging poles for regional taxis will be built as the rate of not less than 1:1 and 5:1 respectively. By the end of 2014, public charging poles for electric cars will be built in districts including Tongzhou Tuqiao and Changping Future Technology City.
10,000 fast charging poles will be built in public parking station, parking station at traffic hub (including P+R), parking station in large shopping arcade and supermarket, expressway service area, 4S store and qualified oil station.
