As learned, YC4W engine of Yuchai includes two types of displacement, thus, 1.2 liter and 1.4 liter, and the 1.4 liter engine is the main product. YC4W engine aims mainly at markets overseas, such as south east asia, middle east, south America, the marketing works are underway in domestic market. The expected sales amount annually is around 100 thousand to 200 thousand. The 1.2 liter product will be put into market when the timing is right.

The power of the engine is between 64 KW and 77 KW; the torque is between 190 N.m and 200 N.m; the output per liter is between 45 and 55 kw/L. Also, the engine meets the standards of China IV, and has the potential to meet the standards of China V or even higher.

The technicians of Yuchai told the reporter that, compared with petrol engine, the diesel engine is 30% higher in the heat efficiency, and more powerful, lasts longer, and cause 45% less of greenhouse effects. Under the same standards of emission, diesel engines emit less carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon. The 4 cylinder diesel engine is more powerful and has bigger torque than the 6 cylinder petrol engine.
