Beiqi to Build JV to Assembly Mini Buses in South Africa

www.chinabuses.org: Beiqi Group has built joint venture in South Africa to assemble mini buses for rent, according the largest local news website, IOL.
Total investments for the joint venture, BAW SA, are 41 million RMB by Beiqi Group and Industrial Development Corp. with 51% to 49% shares. Inyathi/Sasuka 16-seat mini buses will be produced for rent to complete Toyota Quantum mini bus.
BAW SA will transform a telephone factory to SKD plant and the initial production capacities are 9,600 units, and they will add another 140 million RMB investment in the future.
Currently BAW SA has signed contract with Santaco（SA National Taxi Council).
