The year of 2011 was a harvest year for the China light bus market. According to CAAM, the sales volume of light bus in 2011 were 265,857 units, which increased by 11.91 percent. And it was the third year that the sales continues to grow. According to the experts, the light buses for the businessmen account the main part.
According the statistic, the market share of the light buses did not change a lot,and even lower than before. That is the result of the minivan and the medium bus influence. Such as, as it is ruled that the light buses are among 3.5m -7m long. Some minivans are more than 4 meters long.
After several years' development, in domestic light bus market, the Japanese and European light buses account the main market share. In the next five to ten years, the European light buses account the high end market and the Japanese light buses account for the low end market. In the products, the 6m-7m long light buses with the non-monocoque body structure will develop further.
