Hengtong Electric Bus Power System Company, the first new-energy bus manufacturer with "fast-charging" as core strategy, attracts the attention of global electric bus industry. On October 17th,  2012 China International New Energy Vehicles Industry Promotion Week was held in Beijing, which Hengtong Company attended with its electric buses, as the representative of the industry.

The Hengtong electric bus is equipped with lithium titanate battery, making 40-50km running with 10-minute fast-charging. In April 2011, Chongqing Public Transport Company purchased six Hengtong fast-charging electric buses for demo operation, turning out to be successful.

In 2010, Chongqing Hengtong Bus Company worked with Microvast to establish Chongqing Hengtong Electric Bus Power System Company , engaged in the R&D of fast-charging pure-electric buses.

Based on pure-electric buses, Hengtong developed fast-charging plug-in hybrid buses equipped with Microvast long-life lithium titanate fast-charging battery. It's said for Hengtong CKZ6116HNHEVA4 plug-in bus, what it needs is a 110KW charge pile with auto charging device. Within 5-10 minutes, it charges 8-16KWH and the battery service life is 6-8 years.
