25 October 2012
www.chinabuses.org: Speaking of bus safety, we used to think of many "No.1s" and titles related to technologies, rather than the petty but essential parts for safety which we seldom pay attention to. Occasionally, we are impressed by Higer who focuses on safety in every tiny parts.
Oil can is the most common part of a bus. In Higer bus we found an extra groove beside the sprue of clutch oil can, which was the improvement in case of potential fire caused by that overflowing liquid flows to the wires.
In the workshop, each to-be-installed eddy current retarder has a cover board on the top, because the heat caused by the operating eddy current retarder would light the surrounding inflammables.
Brake hoses in the chassis are made black (for regular regions, -40℃) and red (for alpine regions, -60℃). For the two kinds of hoses have the same interface and size, different colors would avert the assembly errors.
Besides, there are Chinese/English signs and instructions beside the emergency devices, and the passengers would follow the instructions to save themselves.
