The most influential events in China bus industry in the first half of 2012

www.chinabuses.org: China auto markets was gloomy in the first half year, but sales of China buses are increasing to some extent, and exports of China buses improved in terms of quantity and quality. We chose the most important events in the first half year for you.
1. Sleeper buses' fate doubtable and monocoque technology may be implemented for buses over 11 meters.
On December 31 last year, MIIT and the Ministry of Public Security issued Notices on improving safety of medium and large buses, which rules suspension production of sleeper buses, monocoque structure technology has to be used in intercity and tourist coaches over eleven meters and at least two doors have to be set for buses over nine meters.
2. School Bus Safety Management Regulations and Security Technology Conditions for school buses were carried out.
The State Council issued the above two regulation on April 4 and April 10, and they will be carried out formally since May 1st.
School bus is the most popular key works in China bus market, and school bus safety has been written to NPC/CPPCC and central government clearly supports development of safer school buses. American long-nose school bus makers such as Navistar and Bluebird are also attracted to enter China school bus markets.
3. School bus builders set up series of activities for public welfare.
Suzhou Higer started to donate 56 school buses for poverty-stricken area, together with China's social welfare foundation mango V foundation from March 30 to June 1, and over 11.23 million Yuan were donated.
China bus builders are shouldering more and more social responsibility and time will prove they deserve it.
4. China bus is conducted frontal impact test.
Since Feb. this year, King Long, Ankai and Yutong Bus passed frontal impact test one after another, and the safety setting has been improved a lot.
5. LNG inter-city coaches appeared.
More and more inter-city passenger transport companies prefer LNG coaches, and LNG coaches have been bought in Jiangsu, Guangdong and Shandong.
In the long run, LNG bus's advantages will remain as long as the price gap between diesel and natural gas are over 25%. So what matters will be how to build more gas stations and reduce the costs of purchasing NG buses.
6. Competition between European style light buses are fierce.
JAC Xingrui, Dongfeng Yufeng and SAIC MAXUS V80 etc main European style light buses are competing more and more fiercely.
Apart from the original Nanjing Iveco and JMC Transit, currently there are five main brands to compete for European style light buses.
7. King Long releases "Intelligence Drive Control" system.
King Long Bus released the "Intelligence Drive Control" system on April 7, and this is a new application on Web of Vehicle, and it can save as much as 10% for diesel buses.
