Foton Intends to Enhance the Proposition of Overseas Sales

www.chinabuses.org: With the formal approval of the joint venture of Foton and Daimler in India, the overseas business of Foton Motor has been fully focused, accounting for 30% (1.2 million units) of the total sales, according to the sales objective in 2020.
After signing the investment invention agreement in Bombay in this May, Foton Motor has announced on 11th October that its board of directors agreed the proposal of setting up the subsidiary corporation specializing in the manufacturing of automobiles.
As for the fourth large commercial vehicle market, the competition is quite fierce in India. Apart from the local Tata Group, European Daimler, MAN, Volvo, Japanese Hino, Isuzu and American Navistar all have entered this market in succession. Moreover, Euro Ⅳ emission standard has been implemented in 13 big cities since October 2010 while Euro Ⅲ in other cities. Meanwhile, the local government has strict regulation about overload and service life.
