Weihai Guangtai First Pure Electric City Bus Launches

www.chinabuses.org: The first Weihai Guangtai pure electric bus was launched in Weihai on December 14. The 12-meter pure electric bus was self-developed by Guangtai airport. The bus model is driven by electric machine and controlled solely by digital system with great durability and safety performance.

Human-oriented design boasts quite low floor, fashionable side windows and long bus body. The monocoque body ensures safe traveling, the bus can run as far as 250 to 300 km after recharging for three hours. Its top speed can reach 90km per hour and it consumes about only one hundred kilowatt-hour.
Compared with traditional diesel engine bus, the bus model can save 130,000 -150,000 Yuan annually, and it can also save energy over 70%.
Currently, they are applying the bus models to be enrolled in Recommended vehicle models on demonstration of energy-saving and new energy vehicles. Only if getting proved, the bus model can be sold and they can get 50,000-600,000 Yuan subsidies for each bus.
