Thousand Electric City Buses to Run in Two Years in Changsha

www.chinabuses.org: As many as one thousand electric city buses and twenty-five recharging stations will be invested from 2010 to 2012 according to Changsha new energy vehicle recharging stations plan made by Changsha Planning Bureau on December 13.
As many as 21,000 new energy vehicles will be demonstrated in Changsha from 2010 to 2012, about 3% of total vehicle inventory, among which there are 1,000 electric city buses, 4,000 electric official vehicles, 2,000 taxies, and 14,000 private cars.
Twenty-five city bus recharging stations will be deployed till 2012, and electric city buses can run as far as 300 km after recharging. There will be 4,000 recharging piles and 14,000 slow-speed recharging piles for private cars.
