China Minibus Markets Encounters Bottleneck
21 September 2010
www.chinabuses.org: Sales of Changan Star and Wuling minibuses increased largely in 2009, many industrial insiders predicts that their growth cannot continue in 2010. According to statistics from CAAM, newly passenger vehicles inventories in China were one million, and 301,900 were minibuses. Sales of minibuses were 16.94% of sales of passenger vehicles, and newly inventory of minibuses were 30.16% of passenger vehicles.
Nearly sales of all types of minibuses were not optimistic. 123,900 less Shanghai GM Wuling minibuses were sold out, and new inventory is like sales of 1.7 months.
China Automotive News deems that the main reason is that many manufacturers are raising the output of productions, whereas market needs were increasing slowly. Sales of minibuses were increased by 5.69%, and the production increased by 28.42%.
