Foton New Energy Buses Serve Moscow City Hall

www.chinabuses.org: A new Foton bus entered into Moscow City Hall on June 24 peacefully. The dark green is rather conspicuous among buildings with red dominant hue around.
Two hours later, the first passengers, Beijing Mayor Guo Jinlong and Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov, rode on the bus. Mr. Guo donated two Foton AUV hybrid bus models, valuing 440,000 USD to Moscow. And Foton Auto Group signed strategic cooperation Momorandum of Understanding with Moscow Zil Auto that day. Mr. Yury Luzhkov said that the two Foton bus models are more comfortable than European buses. And the hybrid technology can surely make contribution to environmental production in Moscow.
It is learned that the two bus models can fuel only 29.5 L per hundred km, 30% less than traditional buses. And emission of nitric oxide and particle are 60% and 70% of average buses. Over one thousand Foton AUV buses have served as city buses in Beijing. Foton cell city buses, having serving Beijing Olympic Games, are aiming Russian Sochi Olympic Winter Games in 2014.
