Four Chinese Bus Builders Enter Electric Vehicle Industry

www.chinabuses.org: It is learned from Zhengzhou Industry and Information Committee that Yutong Bus, Shaoling Bus etc four bus builders start to develop hybrid and pure electric vehicles, and they made breakthrough on electric buses and electric pickups, and they are expecting that two or three electric bus models can be listed ahead in domestic markets.
Zhengzhou Nissan Electric Motors delivered 25 electric vehicles, which is the biggest electric passenger vehicle order in domestic market.
The electric city buses purchased by Zhengzhou Public Transport Company are from Yutong Bus and Shaolin Bus respectively, and the buses will out into operation before late June. These electric city buses were powered by battery, and it takes about five hours to charge the battery, and only 1.2 kWh electricity is consumed in one kilometers, 50% less than diesel engine city buses.
