Taipei Introduces Hybrid City Buses

www.chinabuses.org: Subsided by Taipei Country, Taipei introduced 15 hybrid city buses to run across bus line 99.
It’s learned that the buses were made by The U.S. And the starting speed is below 20 km per hour by electrical energy, and the diesel engine starts over 20 km per hour. About 25% fuel and 25 CO2 emissions can be reduced.
Prices of average city buses are about 3,000,000 New Taiwan Currency, and these hybrid city buses are about 9,500,000 New Taiwan Currency. The price of the buses are still higher than average city buses after 45% subsided by the government. Taipei Public Transport Company is willing to run more than 100 such buses if subsidies from government are available to support environmental protection.
