Foton AUV Signs 300 New Energy Bus Contract with Beijing Public Transport Company

Beiqi Foton has become leading company on self developing new energy vehicles. They have produced more than 1,000 new energy vehicles in 2009.

 

Since founded in Sept.16th, 2003, Foton AUV has concentrated on environmentally friendly new energy buses.

 

Beijing Public Transport Company has signed purchasing order of 300 new energy buses with Foton AUV late 2008. In 2009, Foton AUV got intent agreement of 75 hybrid buses from Taiwan, and then Guangzhou FAW bought another 30 Foton hybrid city buses for the second time, and they have also won the bid of 40 hybrid buses by Hangzhou Public Transport Company. Foton has been firmly associated with new energy and environmentally friendly in a survey.

 

After sin years’ strategic layout of new energy vehicles, Foton AUV bus started to benefit. Sales volumes of Foton AUV Bus have surpassed 2,200,000,000 yuan (322,108,000 USD), up 53% year on year. And 35% of the sales volumes are made by new energy buses.

 

Pure electric buses have been deemed as the ultimate products by domestic and foreign experts, and 50 Foton AUV pure electric buses have been delivered to Beijing Public Transport Company late 2009.

 

Customers are gradually knowing about Foton AUV new energy buses by demonstrating running in Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Yunnan, Jiangxi, and Hangzhou etc places. And Foton also gets rather positive feedbacks about these buses; the buses are easy to drive with low noise, and fuel prudent rate of the buses are 30%, and the buses are rather reliable, and this attracts public transport company especially after a period of operation.
