In the meantime, the sales of CKD buses went up slightly while their production volume moved downward. Compared with the same period last year, the sales of CKD trucks and buses rose by a small margin while the production volume of buses moved upward slightly. 

It is estimated by some experts from China Automotive Technology & Research Center that the “Vehicle Replacement Initiative” launched by the government may create a demand of 300,000 units of commercial vehicles. Given that all mini-, light-duty and medium-sized trucks as well as some medium-sized buses are among the beneficiaries, it is very likely that the CV market may walk out of its current doldrums in the near future.

Universally applauded by professionals across the CV industry, the “Vehicle Replacement Initiative”, following the government’s new plan on revitalizing the auto industry, is expected to help stimulate the domestic CV market and speed up the process of moving a large fleet of heavy-polluting CVs off the road.
