A Breakthrough Plan of GM
16 July 2009
According to the news from GM says it will plan to export vehicles from China to the United States starting in 2011. It expects to sell about 17,300 China-made vehicles in the United States in 2011 and to triple that to about 51,500 in 2014. GM does not name models or say what their brands will be.
If this plan comes true, General Motors likely would become the first major automaker to ship Chinese autos to the United States. GM has eight joint ventures and two wholly owned foreign enterprises as well as more than 20,000 employees in China.
