Jan.-May: Mini-bus Posted a Sales Volume of 51,800 Units

English.chinabuses.com: according to the statistics recently released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), nationwide sales volume of mini-buses stood at 51,800 units from Jan. to May in 2009, down by 5.12% y/y. Affected by the global financial turmoil, the mini-bus market has so far been borne the least impacts compared with other bus segments.
During the same period, the long-distance coach sold 17,200 units, down by 35.12% y/y; the city bus 15,400 units, down by 27.70% y/y; the travel coach 5,002 units, down by 22.12% y/y; the special coach 1,077 units, down by 42.86% y/y; the articulated buses 114 units, down by a staggering 90.28% y/y, posting the biggest year-on-year loss; the trolleybuses 100 units.
