Ankai Bus Sales Surge 66% in First 10 Months of 2025

20 November 2025

Latest production and sales data show that Ankai Bus sold 7,053 vehicles in the first ten months of 2025, a sharp increase of 66% compared to the same period last year. Sales of large buses, in particular, soared by 231%.

Driven by the dual-carbon goals and the integrated urban-rural public transport policy, the bus market has once again shown strong demand signals. As an established player in the bus industry, Ankai Bus has keenly captured this market trend. Not only has it taken the lead in technological innovation, but it has also pursued a differentiated development path, launching new energy bus products specifically designed for urban and rural road conditions.

Beyond the batch deliveries of the E80 and E85 models in Dalian, and the deployment of G65E and E10L models in places like Pingshan (Hebei province) and Suining (Sichuan province), Ankai’s success in effectively meeting the demands of complex rural-urban road conditions and high passenger volumes stems from its core technologies, such as the "zero rear overhang" design and fully-loaded body structure.

It is worth noting that the "zero rear overhang" design has become a distinctive feature of Ankai’s product differentiation. For transport operators, this design expands interior space without increasing the vehicle’s external dimensions, improving operational efficiency during peak passenger hours. Moreover, it reduces discomfort caused by rear overhang vibrations, ensuring a smoother ride.

In addition, Ankai’s electric buses are equipped with CATL high-energy-density batteries and high-efficiency electric drive systems, resulting in stable range and reduced energy consumption. The fully-loaded body structure further enhances vehicle safety and stability, creating a "safe, comfortable, and low-carbon" travel experience for urban and rural residents.

This user-oriented product mindset has continuously won market favor for Ankai’s large new energy buses. In the first ten months, sales of Ankai’s large buses exceeded 3,600 units, becoming the core driver of overall growth.

Ankai is not only focused on the traditional bus sector but is also tapping into new growth opportunities through scenario-based innovation. With the recovery of domestic tourism, Ankai has demonstrated its strength in serving all-scenario travel needs. Its N-series luxury coaches, with lengths ranging from 7 to 13 meters, have been put into operation in areas such as Qiandao Lake (Zhejiang province), Jinan (Shandong province), and Nantong (Jiangsu province). Equipped with a PM1.0-grade health system and NVH optimization design, these vehicles enhance the tourist travel experience. In cities like Jianshui (Yunnan province), Taiyuan (Shanxi province), and Haikou (Hainan province), Ankai’s double-decker sightseeing buses innovatively integrate historical culture with modern transport, setting a benchmark for county-level transport-tourism integration and adding new vitality to local tourism industries.

This scenario-based approach not only enhances product added value but also allows Ankai to build differentiated advantages in niche markets. Whether meeting the "public demand" of urban-rural transit or the "quality needs" of tourist transport, Ankai can provide precisely tailored products and services. This "full-scenario coverage" strategy has enabled the company to stand out in a competitive market and sustain sales growth.

While deepening its presence in the domestic market, Ankai is also accelerating its global expansion. High-end products combined with localized services have become key drivers of its overseas sales growth. In 2025, Ankai exported high-end buses in batches to countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kyrgyzstan, further consolidating its position in the Middle Eastern market. In the first ten months, the company led the top ten Chinese bus exporters with nearly 200% growth.

To address the diverse needs of different overseas markets, Ankai focuses on cost-effectiveness and practicality, launching buses tailored to local operational conditions. For example, in the Middle East, the N12 model, with its heat-resistant and highly reliable features, is well-suited to the local climate and road conditions. At the same time, Ankai has established a comprehensive after-sales network overseas, providing technical training and responsive services to ensure efficient and stable vehicle operation. This shift from "product export" to "brand export" has laid a solid foundation for long-term overseas market development.

Beyond exports, as a pioneer among Chinese bus companies exploring international markets, Ankai has consistently demonstrated China’s strengths in new energy and high-end manufacturing on the global stage. In September, the company showcased the N12 luxury coach and the E10L stateless bus at the China-ASEAN Expo. In October, it presented two "intelligent electric" benchmark products at Busworld Belgium 2025.

From low-carbon public transport in urban and rural China to high-end passenger transport worldwide, Ankai Bus has delivered an impressive performance in 2025, leveraging its three core strengths: technological innovation, scenario-based layout, and internationalization strategy.
