BYD Delivers 100 Units of 12-Meter Electric Buses to Uruguayan Operator CUTCSA

On September 19th, BYD delivered 100 units of electric buses to CUTCSA, Uruguay's largest electric bus operator, from its Qingdao factory. This delivery ceremony marks another significant breakthrough for BYD in the international commercial vehicle market and further injects new momentum into Uruguay's green transportation development.
Present at the ceremony were Juan Antonio Salgado, President of CUTCSA Group, Fernando Barcia, General Manager of CUTCSA, Martin Orlando, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Uruguayan Embassy in China, Deng Yuan, Country Manager of BYD Uruguay Branch, Zhang Lin, Deputy General Manager of BYD's American Automotive Sales Division, and Wang Baocan, Factory Director of BYD's Commercial Vehicle Business Group Qingdao Factory, among others.
At the delivery ceremony, CUTCSA highly praised BYD's pure electric buses from multiple dimensions including vehicle performance, quality, environmental protection concepts, and actual operational effects. CUTCSA expressed its anticipation that through joint efforts, the strategic goal of fully electrifying its fleet by 2040 could be achieved.
The K9UD electric buses delivered this time are 12 meters long and are customized products tailored for the Uruguayan market by BYD. They integrate environmental protection, energy saving, intelligent technology, and safety and comfort, aiming to provide passengers with a safe, comfortable, and convenient travel experience. This customized bus not only showcases BYD's latest technological achievements but also symbolizes the sincere cooperation and mutual progress between the two parties. It is also a crucial step in Uruguay's historical process of achieving 100% electrification of public transportation.
As of now, BYD's new energy buses have reached multiple major countries in Latin America, including Uruguay, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Ecuador, and will continue to drive the electrification of public transportation in the region.
