On December 24, Shandong Times New Energy Battery Production Base officially started construction in Yanzhou District, Jining, Shandong Province. On the same day, a grand ceremony was held to mark the construction of CATL 1.1GW State-Level Photovoltaic Power Generation Project and CATL Jining Heavy-duty Truck Battery Swapping Station Project.

Ling Wen, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, Lin Hongyu, Secretary of CPC Jining Municipal Committee, You Yongsheng, Mayor of Jining Municipal Government, Zeng Yuqun, President of CATL, together with a number of distinguished guests, witnessed the historical moment.

Covering a total area of 2,000 mu, Shandong Times New Energy Battery Production Base is expected to make a total investment of no more than 14 billion RMB.
