Cummins Continues to Strengthen its Efforts to Achieve Carbon Neutrality

Recently, Cummins officially announced that its plan to build a new power assembly testing center in Darlington, UK, aiming to cut emissions of greenhouse gases and promote greener power technologies.

According to Cummins, it will invest a total amount of 14 million pounds in the first phase of the project, which is scheduled to operate in May, 2023.

Cummins’ new power assembly testing center is set to help the engine maker promote green power solutions, including hydrogen fuel cells, electric power systems, natural gas power systems, etc. In addition, it is able to carry out testing and assessments on chassis and whole vehicles (SUVs, heavy-duty trucks, double-deckers, engineering machinery and agricultural tractors).

Also at the center, power recycling system and rain water recycling system will be built to help save energy and water.
