Foton AUV Buses BJ6127 Donated to Moyu County, Xinjiang
04 July 2025
On June 29, 2025, the "Beijing-Moyu United, Happiness Begins" new energy bus donation ceremony, organized by the Beijing aid team, was held in Moyu County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang.
The first batch of donated new energy buses were Foton AUV BJ6127 models, painted sky blue and decorated with Beijing landmarks such as the Temple of Heaven and Bird's Nest, as well as the red and white mountain patterns of Moyu County. The words "Beijing and Moyu United" were prominently displayed on the bus, and the design also incorporated the national intangible cultural heritage of Moyu County, the mulberry bark paper, symbolizing the deep friendship between Beijing and Moyu.
The Foton AUV BJ6127 buses feature a low entry and single-step structure inside, with leather seats, spacious aisles, and air conditioning systems to provide passengers with a comfortable riding experience. Considering the local conditions in Moyu County, which are characterized by strong winds, sand, and high temperatures, the buses have been designed with high-sealing doors and windows to effectively block out sand and dust. The batteries are equipped with special protective devices to ensure safe and stable operation in high-temperature environments. Additionally, the buses have three emergency exits at the front, middle, and rear of the vehicle to ensure quick evacuation in case of emergencies, ensuring the safety of passengers.
Since 2012, the Beijing Aid Command has successively donated 60 natural gas buses and 165 new energy buses from BAIC Foton to Hotan Prefecture, continuously supporting the development of green transportation in the border region. Today, as the first batch of new energy smart buses enter Moyu County, BAIC Foton continues to write a "green answer" for the new era of aid to Xinjiang on the northwestern frontier of the motherland.
