Zhongtong Saw Growing Presence in Global Market in 2020

As one of China’s pioneering bus makers which launched its international business, Zhongtong overcame a host of challenges and delivered an impressive performance in 2020, witnessing a fast growing presence in the global market.
In April, 2020, Zhongtong delivered 320 units luxury coaches to its customers in Saudi Arabia. In the first half of 2020, it exported nearly 1,000 units luxury coaches to the country. So far, the number of Zhongtong buses & coaches in operation there has exceeded 10,000 units, accounting for nearly 30% of the market.
In earlier 2020, Zhongtong delivered 63 units city buses to Mexico. Just a few months later, it exported another batch of 80 units buses to the country from Qingdao Port. Currently, Zhongtong buses & coaches are working smoothly in almost all public transportation sectors. The recently delivered 12-meter Zhongtong 12-meter city buses adopt one-step access and monocoque body structures. Having successfully lost their weight and having a brand new look, they provide unprecedented travel experiences for local passengers.
In late December, 2020, Zhongtong delivered a batch of Lingjun buses to its customer in Philippines, making the bus brand synonymous with Jeepney in local market. With higher energy efficiency and more travel comforts, they have greatly improved travel experience for local people.
Statistics show that Zhongtong went against the market trend and exported 2,158 units buses & coaches in the first half of 2020, witnessing a growth rate of 123.4% year on year and fully demonstrating its formidable strengths in the global market.
In response to the more stringent requirements for carbon emissions and growing demand for greener buses across the globe, Zhongtong new energy buses & coaches have been enjoying a fast growing popularity among its overseas customers. They have so far successfully made their way to South Korea, Argentina, Germany, Chile, Paraguay, Hungary. In Argentina, Zhongtong helped the local authorities built the first natural gas powered city bus route in 2020. Just two years ago, Zhongtong electric buses were put into service on the first electric bus route in the country.
