King Long Apolong Buses Arrive in Cangzhou for Operation

On December 10, King Long Apolong buses arrived at Cangzhou Economic Development Zone. As the first batch of autonomous driving buses, they will be put into trial operation, helping Cangzhou build more intelligent public transportation network.

Located in Hebei province, Cangzhou has been strengthening its efforts to develop internet-connected vehicle industry. As the first city in north China to carry out testing programs for autonomous driving vehicles, it has been recognized as the demonstration area for strategic and emerging industries.

In recent years, Cangzhou city has been attracting a growing number of tourists thanks to its rich culture and convenient transport. By putting Apolong autonomous driving buses on its road, Cangzhou aims to further strengthen its overall competitiveness and attract more tourists from both home and abroad.

Jointly developed by King Long and Baidu, Apolong L4-level autonomous driving bus fully showcases China’s impressive achievements in the auto industry. So far, the bus has made its way to 28 cities across China. Since its debut two years ago, it has accumulated a mileage of over 100,000 km and provided transportation services to over 100,000 passengers.

Along with maturity and commercialization of China’s 5G technologies, King Long established Apolong Department this year, aiming to further promote Apolong autonomous driving buses on closed and open roads. It has also rolled out 1+N Apolong Strategy with 1 representing AICO autonomous driving chassis and N representing extended products such as MOSO autonomous driving vending vehicles, GOVO autonomous driving disinfecting & cleaning vehicles and HAPO intelligent buses on campuses.
