King Long Motor Group Longhai New Energy Industrial Park Starts Construction

On November 16, a foundation-laying ceremony was held in Longhai, Zhangzhou, to mark the official construction of King Long Motor Group’s New Energy Industrial Park which covers an area of over 5,000 mu. It is scheduled to start operation in September, 2019.
When completed, the park will provide new impetus for China’s new energy vehicle industry. According to Qiu Zhixiang, General Manager of Fujian Motor Industry Group, King Long Motor Group Longhai New Energy Industrial Park, with a total investment of ten billion RMB, will be equipped with state-of-art production facilities and be able to roll out 30,000 units energy efficient and new energy buses in large and medium sizes, 10,000 units Coasters, and 100,000 units light buses each year.
In addition, the park will pool the capital and technological strengths from the upper to the lower stream of the auto industry, generating over 50 billion output value each year. The first phase of the park consists of manufacturing base for producing energy efficient and new energy buses with a total investment of over three billion RMB. After its completion, it will be able to roll out 20,000 units large- and medium-sized buses each year.
