Hefei to Construct Electric Coach Production Base

As one of the China’s thirteen cities for the demonstration and popularization of new-energy vehicles, Hefei, provincial capital of Anhui Province has already taken the lead in the country’s manufacturing of new-energy vehicles. Recently, the parties concerned have officially signed the contract for Clean-EV Electric Vehicle and Power System Industrial Base Project with a total investment of 1.7 billion RMB (about 249 million USD).
According to DU Ju, President of Beijing Clean-EV Co., Ltd., the company’s project in Hefei will cover an area of 1,500 mu and boasts an annual production capacity of 5,000 unit of electric coaches and 500,000 sets of power systems for electric vehicles after the completion of its construction.
The fatal weakness of the electric vehicles is the low capacity of the batteries. DU indicated that the company is now actively involved in developing a new generation of power system which can be equipped on both coaches and sedans.
