Eurostar Ties with Wuzhoulong in Developing Top-notch Environmentally-Friendly Coaches

Mar. 7, 2009- After Shaanxi Eurostar Automobile Co., Ltd. inked a deal with Shenzhen Wuzhoulong Motors Co., Ltd. for supplying the latter 1,600 units of coach chassis, a signing ceremony was jointly held in Xi’an. Leaders such as FANG Hongwei and YUAN Hongming, President and General Manager of Shaanxi Automobile Group, ZHANG Haili, General Manager of Eurostar, ZHANG Jingxin, President, YANG Zhiyuan, Vice-President, and HU Jinghan, General Manager of Wuzhoulong attended the ceremony. Having set up cooperative ties for eight years, the two parties expressed their sincere hope for further cooperation.

The deal is expected to generate win-win results for both parties and will further push forward the development of new-energy vehicles. Boasting a well-established reputation in the market, state-of-art techniques in the world, and efficient production & management patterns, Eurostar provides Wuzhoulong with reliable and consistent chassis. By taking advantage of its professional team and rich experience in coach manufacturing, Wuzhoulong aims at producing eye-catching and quality coach products for its customers with the help of Eurostar.
For many years, the two companies have been joining hands in designing and manufacturing new-energy and environmentally friendly coaches. Appointed as the enterprises for implementing the National 863 Electric Vehicle Plan, both companies boast a host of patents in China. Moreover, their production techniques for the production of environmentally-friendly coaches have reached the advanced level among its domestic counterparts. The newly inked deal once again proves their sound business ties.
In recent years, energy-saving and environmentally-friendliness have become the buzz words and an important gauge to measure the economic development level of one nation. The auto industry, in particular, has put the reduction of emissions high on the agenda for solving urban pollution. In response to the government’s call for the popularization of new-energy vehicles, Eurostar has invested heavily in the production techniques of coach chassis by introducing know-how from MAN in Germany. Thanks to this, the company successfully rolled out its new generation of chassis. Of the 1,600 units of chassis agreed in this new deal, 1,000 are used for hybrid coaches and 600 are for LNG coaches. To date, Wuzhoulong has rolled out its eighth generation of new-energy coaches. Through many years cooperation with Eurostar, Wuzhoulong has become a bellwether in China’s new-energy vehicle field.
Having been involved in the production of chassis for 25 years, Eurostar enjoys competitive edges in technique development and plays a significant role in pushing forward the research, development and production of chassis for large-sized coaches. Widely adopted by a host of large- and medium-sized coach manufacturers in their products measuring from 8.5 to 18 meters long, its products are exported to over 20 countries and regions in Asia and Africa, etc. Moreover, they have pocketed a number of awards in many national and provincial-level competitions.
Currently, it is believed that the deal reached between Eurostar and Wuzhoulong will provide new impetus for the development of new-energy coaches and bring the two parties with more business opportunities.
