www.chinabuses.org: In January 2016, the National Science and Technology Awards Conference was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, “Diesel Engine Low Noise Design Key Technology and Application", a program launched by Weichai won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award.

Results of the project creatively proposed composite damping torsional vibration damper with FM damping device; the use of exhaust gas recirculation combustion noise suppression with diesel engine transient; suspension system combined with the dynamic assembly mode, mass and inertia distribution characteristics and structure optimization design, which in all effectively reduces the transient combustion noise and structural vibration noise.

It is reported that in 2013, Weichai won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award the “heavy-duty high-speed diesel engine key technologies and industrialization” program.
