Weichai Engines Up by 17% in Q1 2014

www.chinabuses.org: Despite the unfavorable macroeconomic situations and less satisfactory performances of major sectors than expected, Weichai Group has managed to beat against the trend, realizng robust growth in both its production and sales.
In the first quarter of this year, the sales volume of its engines was up by 16.6% year on year. The engines made for trucks were sold 14% more than its plan while those made for ships were 8% higher than its original goal. Compared with its counterparts, Weichai's market shares in such segmented markets as heavy-duty trucks, large- and medium-sized buses, 30 loading machines, ships and power generating devices all went up dramatically.
