Yuchai Serves in Sochi Winter Olympics

 www.chinabuses.org: On Feb.8th of 2014, Sochi Winter Olympics officially opened. Smooth process of different competitions stands for successful performance of Yuchai against extremely cold. Yuchai satisfactorily completed its service in Sochi Olympics venue infrastructure.


Infrastructure building started 2011 and was finished in 2013. Wang Zhenjin, director of Yuchai Russia Office, told us that pavers and loaders equipped with Yuchai engines mainly dealt with road pavement and venue construction. Especially in high and cold areas, Yuchai engine have to endure this cold for smooth completion of the work.


Sochi is on the coast of the Black Sea in the Southwest of Russia. Despite relative warm climate, the lowest temperature of the coldest January or February is 3 or 4℃. However, temperature on the mountain can be -20℃. For this Winter Olympics, Sochi invested a lot into urban infrastructure construction. With road construction for red grass skiing place as an example, 17 bridges and 14 tunnels were built. The longest tunnel of these 14 is 4km, which is the longest tunnel in Russia.


To ensure normal infrastructure construction of Yuchai engine, Russia especially sent professional people to provide timely service. At present, engine inventory of Yuchai engine in Russia is over 10,000 units. Yuchai engine is equipped with non-road vehicle, heavy truck and bus. What’s more, Yuchai engine once provided excellent service in APEC in Haishenwai and Universiade in Kazan.
