BOSCH to Develop New Battery Materials

www.chinabuses.org: It's said that BOSCH is planning to develop new materials of Li-ion battery for electric vehicles to enhance energy density, doubling the driving mileage.
Former head of auto business in Robert Bosch GmbH Bernd Bohr explained the two steps to improve the energy density of Li-ion battery, from current 130 watt-hours to 200 watt-hours in 2016, and to 300 watt-hours in 2020.
Mr. Bohr said, considering that electric vehicles have won a share in the market, the company should start the business from commuting buses.
