Weichai Serves the “Two Sessions”with Zero Error Occurred

Wang Banghui, director of bus sales in Beijing, Weichai Power, told reporter that, “ a total of 8 WP10 engines is serving the ‘Two Sessions’ for the first time, which won recognition of BAIC and United Cresent for the good quality plus the outstanding performance.”
In recent years, Weichai engines are gaining more and more shares in the bus market. The power of engines range from 95 hp to 440 hp, capable of fitting buses with a length between 7 meters and 13.7 meters. According to different requirement, Weichai developed engines for long distance transporting, city transporting, travelling and etc.
Taking the WP10 engine for instance, it is co-developed by Weichai Power and AVL, an international parts supplier from Austria. Blended in with internationally advanced technologies, the engine possesses independent intellectual property rights, with oil-consumption, emission, noise and reliability reaching world class. It is one of the most mature and most reliable engine systems in China, which is a very important reason for customers to choose it and serve the “Two Sessions”.
As Wang Banghui self-described, he feels “ proud yet laden with great responsibility”, while, it’s not him alone, but the whole service team of Weichai feel the same. As he introduces, in order to accomplish the task successfully and build a good image of Weichai, 7 people specially selected by the company formed a service team, and a sound plan was made.
Prior to February 22nd, the service team made a overall check of all the engines. Special care were given to the frequent breakdown parts. On March 1st, before the opening of the “Two Sessions”, they made another round of overall check. No flaw is allowed. How to successfully curb emergencies during the meetings is a tricky problem. Weichai required all staff keep accessible through phones 24 hours a day. What’s more, special persons were assigned to station at hotels of the meetings to ensure all buses operate normally even any emergency could happen. Also, daily check is carried out for every bus. And, relying on the service station in Beijing, Weichai prepared abundant spare parts.
“Although this is the first time we are serving the ‘Two Sessions’, but we have already accumulated valuable experiences by serving other big-scale activities. It is of most importance for us to guarantee the service of the “Two Sessions”, we need to make sure all products are 100% functional. ” Wang Banghui told the reporter of www.chinabuses.org.
