Berliner Stadtreinigung (short for BSR) is German largest urban garbage disposal company. BSR owns 1100 garbage trucks responsible for the cleaning of the streets, 626 of which are equipped with Allison 1000 serial and 3000 serial automatic transmissions.

Automatic transmissions help the company reduce maintenance and operation cost and the drivers are satisfied with Allison transmissions.

From 2006 to 2010, BSR renewed 870 vehicles and it began to choose hybrid garbage trucks for environmental protection. Currently, BSR operates 120 Mercedes-Benz Econic CNG vehicles equipped with Allison 3000 serial automatic transmissions and will be able to fuel the vehicles with biomethane produced in Ruhleben plants.
