Weichai Power Implements International Development Strategy

www.chinabuses.org: On January 10th, Weichai Power affiliated to Shandong Heavy Industry Group declared to gain 75% of shares of Italy-based Ferretti-world's largest luxury yacht manufacturer with Euro 374 million. In 2009, Weichai Power purchased France-based Moteurs Baudouin. Since then, the international strategy of Weichai Power has become clearer.
In the "twelfth five-year" development strategy Weichai Power released a few days ago, the company aimed at ranking among the Fortune 500 with CNY 200 billion of sales income by 2015. Deputy General Manager of Weichai Information Engineering Company Cui, Youchang said informationization was indispensable for Weichai Power to achieve its internationalization strategy.
Weichai's six information platforms cover R&D, procurement, logistics, production and sales.
Weichai Power adopted ERP system from 2004 and invested CNY 120 million to build enterprise resource management platform. The six information platforms cover R&D, procurement, logistics, production and sales. The next step is to integrate and optimize these platforms to release the value of the data.
